Reggie Plays Rath

Recently at the 2010 International Trombone Competition in Austin, TX I had the great pleasure of meeting Michael Rath creator of Rath trombones, a UK company. I became a fan of his work many years ago after testing out one at Rayburn's Music in Boston. I was there playing a show with Maynard Ferguson and Arturo Sandoval plus symphony orchestra, and the good folks from Rayburn's invited some of us to come by the store and look around and maybe play some horns.

Reggie Update

Firstly I would like to apologize to all the folks who have visited my site in the past for this update being a long time coming..couple of years to be exact! Well regardless to say I've been busy playing, recording and touring with my pals The Grooveline Horns and pop Sensation JasonMraz. I got married six months ago and recently moved to Austin, TX to pursue my music and check out the Austin scene.. It's a good scene too!!

2 GIGS

Once again thank you for checking out my site..In the last two weeks there have been two great gigs that I would like to share with you. The first one on feb. the 9th was with my band in Wheeling, WV at The Stifel Center. Part of the Olgelbay Institute, The Stifel center is an old Victorian mansion that is a cultural center for music, art, and dance. We played this gig acoustically, in the gallery, making use of their one of a kind Steinway grand piano. The guys on the gig were Ian Gordon(tpt), Jeff Beck(bs), and MF alumni David Throckmorton(dr), Matt Parker(ts), and Jeff Lashway(pno).

Happy New Year/ Updates

Happy New Year to you all!! It's now the middle of January and I'm looking forward to a wonderful and prosperous new year for all of us. I've had the pleasure of playing some great gigs as of late..
We played with the Boogie Hustlers the Saturday before Christmas to a sold out house at Club Cafe in Pittsburgh's South Side. The Boogie Hustlers on that night was a stellar line up including Gene Stovall, Margot B., Howie Alexander, Rick Matt, Tony Campbell, and Sean Reager and th BH crew. Great show to promote a great new album called True Colors.

What-s Happening
